Sketch and Wander: In the Footsteps of John Muir
We have collaborated with East Lothian artist Lynn Fraser (Fantoosh Sketching) to offer a bespoke creative ‘walkshop’ in Dunbar as part of East Lothian Archaeology and Heritage Fortnight.

Celebrating the landscape John Muir grew up in – learn some history and some journal techniques as we wander, record and create in the outdoors as he loved to do.
We will walk on fairly flat ground and at an easy pace to notice and engage with our environment.
No creative or art experience required.
What to bring
A journal or sketchpad, a pencil/pen (all other extra materials will be supplied by Lynn) and a curious mind.
Bring something to drink and dress for the weather.
More information
No dogs on this walk please.
Bus services from Edinburgh, Berwick-upon-Tweed and North Berwick. For timetables see East Coast Buses, Border Buses and Eve Coaches. Dunbar train station is a 10-minute walk away.
Made possible through funding from Dunbar Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme.
