Exhibition: This is Earth

This is Earth, an exhibition of contemporary art, aims to consider aspects of our planet. The artwork on show does not concern itself with the outward appearance or geography of earth. Rather, it is each artist’s own expression of what it means to them to inhabit the planet in the here and now. For example, Edinburgh based artist David Hutchison exhibits three small bronze sculptures which combine the natural world with technology. Technology is something that is hard to avoid in the 21^st century, therefore, it also features in work by some of the other artists alongside issues regarding poverty, religion and ecology. This is Earth is an exhibition of diverse ideas and imagery just like the planet itself.
