NORMAL OPENING HOURS - April to October - Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday 1pm to 5pm
November to March - Wednesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday 1pm to 5pm
Closed - 25th and 26th December and 1st and 2nd January

RAIL - The station is a 10 minute walk away. There is a train service to Dunbar from Edinburgh and the south. For timetables see www.eastcoast.co.uk and www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk

BUS - Regular bus services run throughout the year to and from Edinburgh City Centre, Berwick-upon-Tweed and North Berwick. All stop within easy reach. For timetables see www.firstgroup.com, www.perrymansbuses.co.uk and www.eveinfo.co.uk

ROAD - JMB is signposted off the A1 from the north and south and can be found towards the north end of the High Street.

CYCLE - Bikes can be hired locally at www.belhavenbikes.co.uk or www.lawcycles.co.uk. Cycle maps are available for purchase at the Birthplace or at www.spokes.org.uk  For planned cycle routes in the area see www.cycle-route.com

FREE ADMISSION

FREE PARKING - available on the High Street for 1 hour or at the Splash Leisure Pool signposted just off the north end of the High Street. Coach parking is also available at the Leisure Pool car park.

ACCESS - the building is wheelchair and pushchair accessible and has a disabled toilet.

HEARING LOOP - available in video presentation area.

REFRESHMENTS - Dunbar has a good selection of places to eat and drink with something to offer every taste within a short walk.

GROUP BOOKINGS - can be made in advance or small groups are welcome to turn up without notice.
