The John Muir Trail
How can Dunbar make the most of this opportunity?
The John Muir Trail long-distance walking route will be opening in Spring 2014, linking Dunbar with Helensburgh on the West Coast. Alex Salmond has been promoting this nationally significant route in the US, and there is lots of potential to attract UK visitors too Are we ready?
The panel will include Ron McCraw from Scottish Natural Heritage and Keith Geddes, the architect of the Trail from the Central Scotland Green Network.

Our John Muir Trust Christmas cards, calendars and diaries are selling quickly and we also have some lovely new shop stock in for the festive season. Gorgeous Fursbeck Pottery, earrings and brooches which would make lovely Xmas presents!!! Also as from Saturday we will have lovely gifts from the ‘Green Gift Company’ which range from novelty kids gifts to recycled camper vans (ornamental ones of course) and also a selection of bracelets and necklaces. In addition we have a new range of wooden crafts from a local craftsman from small candle holders and ornamental fruit to toadstools and earring holders. All the objects are crafted from locally sourced wood.
